Genetic Testing

Roseville Surgical Alliance now offers genetic testing for hereditary breast and ovarian cancers.  According to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, 2-10% of patients carry a mutation, which increases their cancer risk up to ten-fold. Early identification can reduce the mortality by 50-100%. In those with documented cancer, identification of a genetic mutation assists with disease management and may help to identify family members at risk

The following are risk factors that may indicate benefit from genetic testing for breast and/or ovarian cancer.
